Work schedule of the University Library and the WPAE Library during the summer

Dear Readers!
Due to the introduction of the new ALMA library system, there will be changes in the functioning of the WPAE Library and the University Library.
The works schedule for both libraries below.

Please read the information carefully! As opening hours and system availability will be limited, we ask users to settle any library liabilities as soon as possible.

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

July:

  • the library will function unchanged;
  • until the end of July it will be possible to order, borrow and return books;
  • it will also be possible to settle obligation cards;
  • holiday opening hours will be in force: Monday, Thursday: 12:00 pm. – 7:00 pm.; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 am. – 3:00 pm.

August:

  • borrowing will only be possible in the Free Access area and only until 14 August (included); after this date, books will only be allowed to be used on site;
  • returns of books and settlement of obligation cards will be possible all month in the Local Lending Unit on the 1st floor;
  • a 24-hour library drop box is also available;
  • agenda opening hours: 8:00 am. – 3:00 pm. 

September:

  • system implementation and data migration is ongoing;
  • until 21 September (included), it is not possible to order, borrow or return books or to settle obligation cards;
  • it will be possible to use the reading rooms and the Free Access area during this period, but without ordering or borrowing materials;
  • until the end of September, no fees will be charged for late return of books;
  • from 22 September, the library will again be accepting orders, and it will be possible to borrow and return materials and to settle circulation sheets;
  • opening hours: Monday, Thursday: 12:00 pm. – 7:00 pm.; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 am. – 3:00 pm.

LIBRARY OF THE FACULTY OF LAW, ADMINISTRATION AND ECONOMICS

July:

  • there will be different opening hours of the Library;
  • until the end of July it will be possible to order, borrow and return library materials;
  • obligation cards can be settlement;
  • it will be possible to use the book collection in the Main Reading Room, as well as to order materials for the Reading Room from the storage.

August:

  • all Library agencies are closed – please return borrowed materials and settle your account by the end of July!
  • no possibility to order or borrow library materials;
  • readers without borrowed books on their account can settle their obligation card online (please send a scan of your obligation card to biblioteka.wpae@uwr.edu.pl);
  • no penalty will be charged for late return of books. 

September:

  • system implementation and data migration are underway;
  • there will be different opening hours of the Library;
  • from 1 to 21 September (included) the Lending Library will be closed – there will be no ordering, borrowing, returning of books or settlement for obligation cards;
  • it will be possible to use the Main Reading Room during this time;
  • from 22 September, the Library will operate again as scheduled;
  • there will be no penalty for late return of books until the end of September.
